New Tire Ruined by Nail in Sidewall/Flex Zone :(

A frustrating situation!  This video shows an almost new tire that has been punctured by a nail in its flexible sidewall area.  This location makes it irreparable (non-patchable) because of the constant flexing of the tire’s rubber when the car is driven. A plug patch typically costs about $30, but, unfortunately, it is reliable only when damage is on the flat tread zone of the tire instead of on either side of the tire.
