Hidden Bad Battery Connection Causes Starting Problems

This GMC Denali was brought in for a no start condition with the battery tested as “good.” Even though all connections looked fine visually, resistance checks showed a problem in the positive cable assembly somewhere. Disassembling the protective terminal boot (red rubber insulator seen below) revealed the visible corrosion in this video. After thoroughly cleaning the terminal, the problem was resolved.
